How we decide who gets approved on GoSimples. With the basic free listing, you get to choose one category, and you are able to put up your company name, description, address, telephone number and some details. To decide which businesses get listed on our directory, we need a clear set of rules. These include setting basic safety standards, we check if the business is real, and make sure it fits our category or local area.
One by one, we check every business listing, and if it does not meet our stringent criteria, then it will be removed, or edited accordingly. If we believe that submissions have been made by SEO companies (and yes you can spot these a mile off usually because of the submission times, poor spelling, or inability to choose the right location on a map) then we might either reject the listing, or switch it to listed by GoSimples, and contact the companies directly.
Basic Listing Rules:
Valid Business: The business must have a real license or legal registration.
Accurate Info: Name, address, email and phone number must be correct.
Active Status: The business must be open and serving customers right now.
Local Focus: The business must operate in a UK targeted city or region within the UK.
Quality and Trust Standards:
Clear Identity: No fake listings or hidden owners.
Good Reputation: We will check for extreme customer complaints or fraud.
Complete Profile: The business must provide a logo, photos, and a clear description.
Rules to Reject a Business:
Illegal Services: Anything banned by local laws.
Spam Content: Fake reviews or keyword-stuffed titles.
Wrong Category: Businesses that do not match our directory type.
I HAVE REGISTERED A BUSINESS BUT IT STILL SHOWS AS PENDING -
All listings are manually checked for compliance. Until such time as they may be approved, on your profile dashboard they will show as PENDING until one of our team approves the listing. If your listing continues to show as pending for more than 5 working days, the chances are that the listing will not be aproved until you make some edits. Some questions about this are:
